Our health class runs every Tuesday and Thursday for 40 mins.
So far this year we have completed different getting to know you activities, & learner profiles. Students are also getting into the routine of having "zen time" where they are given time to work on an intricate colouring sheet with the lights off and background music on. This is how we begin each class - learning the importance of "down time" to decompress.
We have also begun charting our daily health habits (sleeping, eating, physical activity, zen time, extra curricular activity etc.) in order to compare our habits to Canadian standards.

We have begun learning about the influence media can have on our self esteem, especially when it comes to body image. Students were tasked with analyzing different magazine advertisements, and then reflect ed on their meaning. This week students were given and assignment titled "I AM" - which is due on Tuesday Oct 24 at the beginning of class. Next week we will be exploring food choices and media.
